Overview
Unchosen is a 2.5D hack-and-slash dungeon crawler with cozy 2D story-game elements.
You play as a lowly farmhand living in the shadow of the castle. Raised on legends of the Crimson Knights—heroes who once defended the realm—you dreamed of being like them, though you were never meant to be.
When the sky turns red and demons spill into the world, that childhood spark pushes you to act. Armed with nothing but stubborn courage, you sneak into the castle’s secret passage, bursting into the big boss room… only to be mocked and effortlessly defeated by the big bad, who hurls you from the balcony and leaves you for dead.
Washed up and barely alive, you refuse to give in. You fight your way back through dungeon-like levels, scavenging gear, trading with desperate survivors, and slowly growing stronger—not because you were chosen, but because someone has to do something.
Your goal: face the big bad once more and free the land from its hellish grip.
You aren’t the hero.
But you could be.
